Half Marathon in a Wheelchair

I have seen plenty of guys in races with handcycles and racing wheel chairs. I thought that I was the only dummy to try a race in a straight up ultralight chair like this dude is doing.

They are going to make you sit through a pile of ads before you get to the video, but believe you me, it is worth it.

While I have a few half-marathons, ten-milers and a slew of 10k and 5ks under my belt, I faced no where near the adversity that guy was against, nor did I put in even 1% of the training he is doing.

I can tell you though, that I have felt the satisfaction that he will surely experience.

Watch the video, get inspired, then do something about it.

There will be no regrets. Count on it.

Fyi, the picture below was taken of me on Father’s Day, 2010, finishing my first 5k. Do it.

I am just a guy with a disease called adrenomyeloneuropathy. I want other guys with the disease to see the good parts of disability. Not the gloom. Not the doom. Make sense?
